Budapest Afterschool operates on a two semester basis. Classes/courses are once a week and they all last 90 minutes in the afternoons, Monday to Friday.
Students may attend a single weekly course or a combination of sessions that fit their age, interests and level of English.
We also encourage all our students and their families to participate in our family events, workshops, study trips and Summer camps.
Afterschool School fees
Parents may decide to pay the tuition fee on a semester basis (124 000 HUF/semester/session) or an academic year basis (248 000 HUF/academic year). If the annual fee is paid in one amount on, or before the 8th, September 2024 a deduction in fees is granted.

Alternatively, fees can be paid in two parts on, or before, the first day of each semester. The prices are naturally the same for native and second language learners. For new students there is a registration fee of 29 900 HUF/family that is paid when the student enrols to Budapest Afterschool. Late enrolments are possible and sessions already held are not charged.
Register and we will contact you to set up an appointment to invite you and your family in to assess your child, introduce you to our school programme, methodology and answer any questions you may have. The assessment is naturally free, payments are only expected when you decided to enrol.
The Budapest Afterschool (1026 Budapest, Pasaréti utca 12/B), provides English language education exclusively by native English-speaking teachers. Education is offered at different levels, both for native English speakers and for those who are learning English as a foreign language.
During the admissions meeting, a level assessment will take place. Based on the assessment the school will suggest which groups are suitable for the student, and the student can only join those groups.
The education generally takes place at 1026 Budapest, Pasaréti utca 12/B. There are also classes once per week at the Budenz József Általános Iskola és Gimnáziumban (1021 Budapest, II. kerület, Budenz út 20-22).
The fees to be paid to the school consist of 2 parts: registration fee and tuition fee. The registration fee is a one-time amount, which must be paid once per family upon joining the school, i.e. only for the first enrolled student. The registration fee is used to cover family events and administration. Tuition fee is paid in advance per semester or for the whole year.
The tuition fee must be paid by September 15 in the fall semester, and by February 15 in the case of the spring semester. If the annual fee is paid by September 1, we provide a discount on the fee.
There are no refunds of school fees, although credits may be given for future education at the discretion of the school director.
Students who do not attend school, for whatever reason, will not receive refunds. If a student misses class(es), Budapest Afterschool is not obliged to provide a substitute class. However, in reality we are happy to do so IF there is a suitable and available class for the student. This must be agreed with the School Director. Make up classes, if agreed upon, must be scheduled within two weeks of the class missed.
Budapest Afterschool is responsible for students during the lesson duration only. In the event that you know in advance that you will be late, please let us know.
Budapest Afterschool provides all materials for class.
Budapest Afterschool reserves the right to change classes and teachers at their discretion, according to its operational needs.
We provide a 10% discount on the third course if an individual or family enrols in three courses. If the annual fee is paid by September 1, we provide a discount on the yearly fee. In the event that different discounts apply to one family or family member, only one discount may be used.
Students must follow the safety protocols of the school and obey instructions given by staff in the event of an emergency. No additional insurance is paid for students as they all must have their own Hungarian TB or other insurance coverage.
The school reserves the right to transfer students to another group if the number of participants in a group is 4 or less.
The school’s curriculum and teaching methods are under copyright protection, and the school reserves all rights over its intellectual property.
We encourage all students to participate actively in class, complete all home learning set and to use English at all times in class
