Sotytelling Evening & 10 years of the Afterschool
October 2 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
This year is a very special one for us: Budapest Afterschool is celebrating its 10th anniversary!
To mark this occasion, we are delighted to welcome a very special guest to our start-of-the-year celebration: Scott Alexander Young, a New Zealand-born actor, writer and storyteller, who will join us for a special Storytelling Evening.
But who is Scott – and why did we invite him?
Scott’s life is almost a story in itself. Before becoming an actor, he worked as a travel writer, travelling extensively and visiting many different parts of the world – from Alaska to Buenos Aires, and from Lebanon to Florence. Travel, different cultures and the stories of the people he has met along the way have remained an important part of his life.

He later moved into acting and has appeared in more than 70 film and television productions. Over the years, he has played a fascinating range of characters, including historical figures, spies and many other memorable roles.
Scott has also made Budapest his home and has been living and working here for many years. He is currently involved with the Rogues Gallery, a creative and artistic space in Budapest.
For our evening, however, Scott will step away from the film set and share something much more personal: stories from his travels, the people he has encountered, and some of the extraordinary situations he has found himself in along the way.
A little storytelling, a little travelling the world, some refreshments, and of course a celebration of 10 years of Budapest Afterschool.
