Let’s Flourish! Positive Psychology with Paul Pahil for 8+ years olds

Join positive psychology expert Paul Pahil and build your wellbeing to became confident, capable and caring young people. Learn mind-body connection, resilience and self reflection in a fun, creative and interactive way.

High quality, thematic Summer Camps in English for first and second language learners
20 hours of highly- engaging English practice per week
Native speaker trained teachers with successful classroom experience with children in international schools
Specially-written workbook for each camp
End of Camp student presentation sessions for parents and grandparents
Bright, airy classrooms and large outdoor playground in the leafy second district
Nutritious hot lunches and snacks, with special diets acommodated on request
Free, supervised early drop off and late pick up
Cost: 65 000 HUF (sibling discount/second camp after each full fee: 60 000 HUF).

Summer camp Terms & Conditions

Budapest Afterschool is responsible for students at camp from 8.30 to 16.30 only. Parents unavoidably detained should call the school telephone.
Refunds, or partial refunds of camp fees are at the discretion of the School Director.
Budapest Afterschool provides all materials for the camps.
Budapest Afterschool reserves the right to change camps and teachers at their discretion, according to operational necessity.
In the event that different discounts apply to one family or family member, only one discount can be used.
Students must follow the safety protocols of the school. No additional insurance is paid for students and they must have their own Hungarian TB or other insurance coverage.

Daily Schedule

08:00 – Doors open

08:30-10:00 – First English Session

10:00-10:45 – Playtime and snacktime (sport equipments provided)

10:45-12:15 – Second English Session

12:15-14:00 – Lunch (hot lunch and dessert) playtime (sport equipments provided)

14:00-15:30 – Third English Session

15:30-16:30 – Snack, End of the Day (Supervision provided until 16:30)

Weekly Schedule

The Flourish Summer Camps mission is to ‘Grow their Goodness’ and promote well-being in all children as researched by Dr. Pahil who completed the first ever real world research into flourishing children.

Our mission is to enable children to fulfil their unique purpose in the world as confident, capable and caring people.

These are the main aims of the Flourish Summer Camps:

Your child’s self-esteem will be higher
Your child will more emotionally balanced and agile
Your child will feel less anxiety and stress
Your child will be more resilient
Your child will have new and deeper friendships
At the end of the Flourish Summer Camp each parent will receive some personalised guidance on how their child can continue their journey to truly flourish.

Each day will be structured into 40 minutes sessions in the following way:

i. Mind-Body connection exercises

ii. Positive Thinking exercises to become the best possible self

iii. Creative & Fun Circle Time activities

iv. Noticing & recording Aha moments

v. Laughing Yoga

vi. Self Reflection exercises such as art & play therapy, journaling, mindfulness & creative expression

The Budapest Afterschool has been one of the most fantastic decisions we’ve made for our child. He is growing up with three languages which has been very difficult on him. Prior to joining the school he was barely speaking at all, saying at most just a few words. He was also extremely shy any time someone tried to speak to him. After just the first few months of attending, our son began to turn in to a chatter box and started to actively respond and speak to people. His English speaking continues to strengthen and the school has now become his favourite part of the week.

The staff employs multiple ways of engaging with the children, teaching them through interaction and via various activities that has them excited before, during and after the classes. They also host multiple events which provide opportunities for both networking and continuing exposure to the language outside of a classroom setting for the kids. And lest I forget to mention it is staffed by some of the loveliest people we’ve had the privilege of getting to know since we moved here!
