Special-Interest Courses for children

We offer the following special-interest courses for children in Science and Design. In these classes the children can explore a specific subject with the help of a specialised teacher, while still working on their lexis and fluency development.

All our teachers are native speaker teacher practitioners with a passion for educating children and developing their creativity and critical thinking skills.

All our courses are based on age and language level so children are always recommended courses in which they are with their peers.

Our Special-Interest Courses

Mini-Scientists for ages 6-8

For children who are curious about the world around them and would like to be introduced to the world of Science in a fun and engaging way.

Young Scientists ages 8-10

For children who are curious about the world around them and enjoy hands-on explorations and experiments.

Science S-COOL for ages 11-13

For children who love Science and/or may be interested in a career in Science in the future.

Design Through Time for ages 9-11

For children who love being creative and using their imaginations and their hands with expert guidance, while conversing in English.

How to join us?

Register and we will contact you to set up an appointment to invite you and your family in to assess your child, introduce you to our school programme, methodology and answer any questions you may have. The assessment is naturally free, payments are only expected when you decided to enrol. Late enrolments are possible and sessions already held are not charged.

The Budapest Afterschool has been one of the most fantastic decisions we’ve made for our child. He is growing up with three languages which has been very difficult on him. Prior to joining the school he was barely speaking at all, saying at most just a few words. He was also extremely shy any time someone tried to speak to him. After just the first few months of attending, our son began to turn in to a chatter box and started to actively respond and speak to people. His English speaking continues to strengthen and the school has now become his favourite part of the week.

The staff employs multiple ways of engaging with the children, teaching them through interaction and via various activities that has them excited before, during and after the classes. They also host multiple events which provide opportunities for both networking and continuing exposure to the language outside of a classroom setting for the kids. And lest I forget to mention it is staffed by some of the loveliest people we’ve had the privilege of getting to know since we moved here!
